RF Microneedling
For Healthy, Younger-Looking Skin and Hyperhidrosis Treatment
As we age, certain components of our skin (elastin and collagen) begin to weaken, causing sagging and wrinkles. Sun exposure over the course of years leads to texture changes as well. Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that uses a microneedling device with ultra fine needles to deliver radiofrequency energy deep into the skin’s layers, which encourages elastin cells to regenerate and increases collagen production.

RF Microneedling is also helpful for “hyperhidrosis,” a skin condition where sweat glands overproduce sweat. The most common area for this treatment is the underarm. You’ll start seeing results with RF microneedling with your first treatment, and will only increase with two to three treatments. This is a great treatment with minimal risk to deliver desired results and let you live your life without overactive sweating.

Candidates for RF Microneedling
Microneedling is minimally invasive and safe for most skin types and individuals who are in good health. The procedure requires minimal downtime – most patients can return to a regular routine the following day. There may be some slight bruising from your treatment, but it will not last long.
Microneedling is well-tolerated by most skin types. Treatments are tailored to the individual patient and to the particular area treated. Different frequencies will be applied based on the type of skin treated, which makes it a safe treatment even for the delicate skin under the eyes and on the forehead.

What is involved in the procedure?
In order to reduce discomfort, we may apply numbing cream to the skin. During the procedure, we use collagen-stimulating products such as Platelet Rich Plasma, Vitamin C serum, or skin lightener to treat pigmentation. The skin is then pierced with 36 tiny needles using a handheld pen-like device with a disposable tip. The needling pen’s adjustable depth and multi-speed enable needles to penetrate the skin layer at 90 degrees, increasing product absorption. The Light Stim treatment can be used to enhance your results after the treatment and a layer of custom serum is applied.
What will I look like after the treatment?
In most cases, people will experience mild redness and swelling similar to mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours, as well as small pin-point bleeding and bruising. You will notice that the texture of your skin is smoother and more radiant within a week or two, but the full effect won’t be apparent until a few months later.
