Licensed Esthetician – Pure Medical Spa (Apply Online)

Qualified candidates must possess the following expertise.

Skin Care Procedures: 

  • Detailed skin evaluations
  • Recommend skin-care products/regimens according to each clients’ individual needs
  • Laser procedures
  • Permanent Makeup/Microblading
  • Facial massages
  • Chemical peels
  • Skin care facials and extractions

Makeup Artistry: 

  • Teach clients about colors and types of makeup
  • Instruct clients in makeup application techniques
  • Recommend and sell cosmetics to clients

Medical Procedures: 

  • Collaborate with plastic surgeon to provide pre-operative and post-operative skin care
  • Refer clients to medical personnel for treatment of serious skin problems
  • Help administer skin medications and/or treatments

Business Skills: 

  • Maintain appointment calendar and client contact records
  • Keep records of client needs/preferences and the services provided
  • Provide effective and valuable customer service techniques
  • Schedule appointments
  • Conduct business transactions and collect payments from the client
  • Sell merchandise
  • Evaluate product inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
  • Order and purchase needed supplies, materials and equipment

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Licensed Esthetician
  • Minimum one year of experience on lasers
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnoses
  • Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
  • Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures
  • Education in the use various hair, cosmetic and nail care instruments
  • Training in and experience with permanent make-up and tattooing a plus
  • Proper training in how to sterilize equipment and clean work areas
  • Sales experience preferred

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Pure Medical Spa (Apply Online)

Job duties will include but not be limited to providing: 

  • Injectables on both new and existing patients.
  • Patient consultations and treatment plans.
  • Pre and post treatment care and education.
  • Evening and some weekend availability is a must.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Perform aesthetic procedures.
  • Evaluate and treat minor skin conditions.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced wound care, including irrigation & debridement, culturing, aspirations, and primary and secondary closures and tissue expander fills.
  • Provide consultations and recommendations to clients based on their wants and needs and the provider’s experience.
  • Gather and update medical records.
  • Chart all consultations, procedures, recommendations, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain licensure and continuing education requirements per state law.

Requirements: 

  • Outgoing, passionate, high energy personality, and team player.
  • Current, up to date NP or PA license with all required state and federal requirements met.

Qualified candidates must possess the following expertise.

Medical Skills: 

  • Interview Patients, measure vital signs and record information in patient charts.
  • Prepare and sterilize examining rooms and instruments.
  • Experience in skin cancer procedures, tray set up, sterile technique, instrumentation
  • Assists in examining and treating patients under the direct supervision of the physician.
  • Suture removal.
  • Prepare specimen for laboratory analysis.
  • Assist in RX ordering and reminders.
  • Prioritize the physician’s time by bringing critical results to his/her attention.
  • Photograph patients.
  • Manage patient flow.
  • Self directed and ability to learn by using resources from training videos, on line searches and literature

Electronic Medical Record Skills: 

  • Experience using an iPad.
  • Mine outside medical records for pertinent information.
  • Keep track of and enter the results of imaging studies, lab studies and pathology
  • Experience with Nextech a plus.

Scribing Skills: 

  • Document the history of the patient.
  • Document the Review-of-Systems (ROS) and physical examination.
  • Type progress notes.
  • Enter the patient’s discharge plan and any prescriptions.

Procedure Skills: 

  • Obtain consent from patients.
  • Check patients’ medical charts and consent forms.
  • Handle instruments, scrubs with physician, knowledge of medications, supplies and equipment necessary during surgical procedures.
  • Surgical suturing a plus.

Education and Experience

  • Valid South Carolina certificate (Certified Medical Assistant – AAMA).
  • Knowledge of plastic surgery and dermatology medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within plastic surgery.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare insurance and plastic surgery coding a plus.
